AWANA – Kids for Christ for Life…Forever

Awana is a children’s discipleship ministry that has been serving children and their families for 60 plus years. The goal of each and every Awana Club is that all children and youth throughout the world would come to “know” “love” and “serve” the Lord Jesus Christ!

We share that goal here at Shelter Cove and seek to equip children with a knowledge and understanding of God’s Word…not just for today but for the future. We are told in John 15:16 that we are to go and bear fruit, and that our fruit should remain. Isaiah 55:11 tells us that God’s Word shall not return to Him void but will accomplish the purpose for which he sent it!

We know you care about shaping values, building character and providing a strong moral foundation for your child. We pray you will consider enrolling your child in Awana – allowing us to join you in helping them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Upcoming 2011-2012 Awana Club Year

Our Shelter Cove Awana Club will run from August 31, 2011 through May 16, 2012.  Time: 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. – Cubbies Club pick-up is 8:15.

We ask a $30.00 “per child” registration fee that helps us with the cost of running Club. I think you will agree that compared to the fees charged by various sports organizations – that this less than a dollar a week fee is a bargain. “Clubbers” also need a handbook and a uniform. The cost for these needed items runs about $25 – $35 per child depending on the age group.

Shelter Cove’s Awana Ministry falls into the following divisions:

Cubbies – 3 & 4 yr olds
Sparks – K thru 2nd grade
T&T Boys Club – 3rd thru 6th grade Boys
T&T Girls Club – 3rd thru 6th grade Girls
