MISSION STATEMENT:

To create an environment in which men can grow in their spiritual walk with our Lord and assume the rightful role of leadership at home, in the church and in the workplace.

HALLMARKS OF MEN

1. GROWS IN LOVE & KNOWLEDGE – The man of God commits daily to study and meditate on God’s Word apart from his time at church or in a small group.  He does not depend solely on others to be fed scripture but independently seeks a relationship with the Lord each day through prayer and personal devotion with God. (Psalm 1:1-3)

2. LEADS HIS FAMILY – The man of God exhibits humility, obedience, courage and concern for his family and others.  By faith, he endeavors to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of his household, while exemplifying in his own life, a godly example for them to imitate. (Titus 2:7-8; Ephesians 5:1)

3. RECEIVES WISDOM & INSTRUCTION – The man of God understands his need to be accountable to others.  He looks for opportunities to congregate with other like-minded men through weekly biblical teaching at church and in a regular Bible study or discussion. (I Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 10:25)

4. APPLIES GOD’S WORD TO DAILY LIFE – The man of God is diligent to allow the Word to infiltrate each area of his life.  He is accountable to the Lord for his behavior and speech.  He unites with other men frequently for the purpose of accountability, confession, and prayer. (James 1:22-25; Galatians 6:1-2)

5. OVERCOMES ADVERSITY & TEMPTATION – The man of God trains his body and mind to rise above temptation and personal crises by putting his faith and trust in the One who is able to provide the strength needed to persevere.  Support and encouragement from other men is essential. (I Corinthians 10:13; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

6. CONNECTS WITH OTHERS - The man of God gets involved & uses his God-given gifts and talents in a ministry.  He lives a life worthy of his calling by investing his time and resources into the lives of other men. (I Peter 4:10; Ephesians 4:1)

7. DISCIPLES MEN – The man of God actively shares his faith and testimony, at all times and in all places, to other men in order to lead them into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  (Matthew 28:18-20)
